How to organise application deadlines
A small system so a closing date does not surprise you.
Put every deadline in one list with the timezone written next to it. “6 October, 11:00 UTC” is a real deadline. “Early October” is not. If the source does not give a time, write “time not stated” instead of inventing one.
Work backwards. A reference that takes a week cannot be requested the night before. A transcript that takes a month cannot be ordered on the closing day.
Turn on reminders for the opportunities you have saved. A reminder is a nudge. It is not confirmation that the opportunity is still open. The day you apply, open the official page again.
When something closes, leave it in your history. Do not delete the note about what you learned.
