How to prepare for an interview
What to do in the week before a conversation with an employer or a scholarship panel.
Read the opportunity again and write five questions they are likely to ask. Most panels want to know why this role, why this organisation, and what you have already done that looks like the work.
Prepare short stories. Each story needs a situation, what you did, and the result. Use your own experience. Do not borrow a story from a friend and present it as yours.
Check the format. If it is online, test the link, the camera and the room the day before. If it is in person, plan the route and arrive early. Take a copy of the CV you submitted, not a newer version they have never seen.
Prepare two questions of your own. Ask about the team, the first three months, or how they judge success. Do not open with pay unless they do.
