How to build professional skills while you study or work
Choose skills from the work you want, then practise them in public.
Pick one role you want in the next year and list the skills its real postings repeat. Three skills are enough. Ten skills on a profile with no evidence help nobody.
For each skill, make one piece of proof: a short project, a write-up, a spreadsheet, a design, or a contribution at work or in class. Put that proof on your CV in one line.
Free courses are useful when they end in something you can show. A certificate with no project is weaker than a project with no certificate.
Review the list every month. Remove skills you cannot demonstrate. Add the one you actually used.
