Using an application tracker
Why a status is only as true as the person who set it.
When you apply on another website, JobsandSchools cannot see that application. After you return, mark it yourself if you submitted it. The tracker will say you marked it, not that the employer confirmed it.
Use statuses you understand: interested, preparing, applied, and later the outcomes you actually hear. Do not set “interview” because you hope for one.
Keep notes private. Employers on this platform cannot read the notes you write for yourself.
When a deadline passes, the opportunity can show as closed while your notes stay. That history is yours.
